I want to express my appreciation to all of you who have compared your older library of soundtracks against what we have secured and available on the site. There were two of you I want to personally thank for ferreting out several series we don’t have (though we wish we did), and discuss below.
Give a round of applause for the efforts of Sue Regan and Shawn Burdette; it is shared knowledge from brothers and sisters like them that help us know what and where to look. Now to follow-up on what they uncovered.
ProFormance Trax (blue and grey cover) from MorningGate Music
(not to be confused with PROformance Digital, one of our modern studio vendors)
This company vanished, taking with it about 80 titles. We can find no record of its sale or bankruptcy, so maybe someone’s estate will show up on our doorstep one day. Apart from that happening, these are gone.
Hi-Low Trax (red cover) from Benson Music
This record label was broken into choral and consumer products in a sale to Brentwood and Provident. Some of the track titles eventually appeared as PraiseHymn (a Provident product line) cassettes, but have since gone out-of-print. We are working on obtaining this line, which numbers 700 to 800 titles (I think), but it is slow going. Provident is presently owned by Sony.
Star Song Trax (aqua and silver cover) from Word Music
This label morphed into Word Entertainment, and the tracks became the Studio Series. Some of these have been released as digital burn-on-demand CDs, but the majority remain out-of-print, numbering 380+, which we are also working on. Word is presently owned by Warner.
Other studios that had soundtracks, which either went bust or just disappeared, include Lexicon Music and Light Records. We have little chance of ever turning up their products.
On the plus side, our two flagship labels, Christian World and Daywind Music, have digitally re-mastered and re-released through us EVERY cassette tape accompaniment track title that they ever produced. The presidents of these two companies took a big financial risk to accomplish this, and for their effort, you have access to 6878 titles right now. Not surprisingly, these are the only two major national labels that are still Christian owned and operated by their respective founders. What a blessing!

I can name a few other track lines, in case you’re interested….Mastermix Soundtracks, a 3-key line (in black & yellow cases) released many titles in the 90s and early 2000s.
The majority of Praise Hymn and Sound Performance’s catalogs are online at praisehymn.com, but there are still some Sound Performance tracks that are not there, as well as single-key Praise Hymn tracks. The Sound Performance titles that are out of print mostly came in blue cases with black lettering.
Then there is The Right Trax, which was produced by Word, Inc. Some of these tracks are available thru sites such as Napster and iTunes, but not all. The Right Trax were eventually dropped and later emerged as Ultimate Tracks. Some Right Tracx titles are packaged under the Ultimate Tracks name, some not.
There was also a soundtrack line by Calvary Music Group (white & aqua covers) which featured a number of contemporary and gospel tracks (in 2 or 3 keys on side A) and a “bonus track” on the B side.
Forefront records released studio tracks to some of their songs as well. They had artists such as DC Talk, Rebecca St. James and Audio Adrenaline.
Lastly, let’s not forget studio lines Benson Mastertrax (who eventually became Mastertrax) who had a large selection of titles for many years.
Hope this helps
Thank You for this list of soundtrack companies. I will pass this on to the powers that be, so they may work on acquiring the rights for us to sell their products.
Hi,
I am looking for a performance track on CD that I have on cassette.
It is “I’ll Give You Peace, by Sandi Patti. The cassette has a silver cover, “Studio Series” and it states “From the recording: Another Time, Another Place”
Don’t know if you can get this or not but thought I’d give it a try.
Thanks,
Lynn
I am not showing where this Studio Series made the transition from cassette to CD.

I previously asked about accompaniment tracks from “The Ultimate Accompaniment Library”, Good Life Productions in Scottsdale, Arizona. The covers were yellow and featured a man who looked like a young Pat Boone singing into a microphone. The tracks were recorded for medium-high voice. I am most interested in a track for He Was There All The Time.
We have two accompaniment tracks for “He Was There All The Time”
I will pass this accompaniment track company information on to our researchers to see if they can get access to them.
I have been searching for an accompanment track of the song called: on the Jericho Road. No one seems to have it or know where to get one.
After searching through all parts of our system, I am unable to locate where any of the major companies have released an accompaniment track for “On the Jericho Road”
Hello,
You’re selection is wonderful! Thank you for finding these tracks. I was wondering if you might know of a track produced by Good Life productions it was the song “He’s Alive, ”
The words are the same as Don Francisco, currently you have a few of these tracks, but most are from his recording of a guitar, the track I’m looking for is full orchestra. The track I had began with Strings and harp.
Is there a possibility ChristWill would be able to find it?
Thank you for your time,
Justin
Justin, have you tried Christian World’s version of that song? It features an orchestra also.
Question/suggestion – I know there are some who may have some of these older titles people are looking for on cassette. I have some accompaniments that are now out of print and on cassette, and unavailable for purchase digitally. If I or someone else can help with some of these requests, may we do so?
Thanks Lynda, other people are many times our best source of information.
By all means feel free to help each other. If anyone needs to get in contact with someone else, please let me know and I will get you in touch with each other. Please don’t post any personal information (email address, phone number, etc.) to the blog.

I am looking for a performance track for the song Follow Me which was recorded by Jack Greene on his 20 Greatest Gospel Songs CD, I contacted the record company, GUSTO Recording and they couldn’t help me, I contacted the songwriter, J. Michael Wilson and he couldn’t help me, he referred me to the publisher holding the copyright, The Best Of Zion Publishing Company, and the couldn’t help either. I sure would appreciate it if somebody could help me. I am also looking for the perfomance track for I Know Where I Am Now as sung by Jake Hess. No luck yet but then I haven’t tried to contact Bill & Gloria Gaither yet.
I have searched through our system and I am unable to locate where an accompaniment track is available for either song you listed.
I apologize that we will be unable to help you find these songs.

Well, thanks for trying. I really appreciate it. God bless you!
Does an accompaniment CD of “We Shall Behold Him” by Good Life exist? If so, or even if it is just a fresh cassette, I’ll buy it. Thanks.
