Tips for Effective Music Search

in Search

In this post, I want to give you some tips to help you find what you’re looking for in our vast music catalog.  Many of you have been using the search widget in the upper right corner, or out on our home page, and have noticed the auto-suggest feature. And that’s great, if you are only looking for an artist (group) or a specific title.

But sometimes you need more, in which case, you need to click into Search.

There are several options here for you.  Narrow your results to only certain types of music, or require the search to find only exact matches of your search words.  For those seeking accompaniment tracks we have an incredible lyrics search for you. (We’ll go more in depth for you in the coming weeks about this cutting-edge tool.)

  • Read the search tips we have placed below the search options
  • Be specific but broaden your search if you don’t find what you are looking for at first
  • Refine your search by typing more words, or more strategic words, and stay away from words that could be conjunctions or vernacular.

Here’s an example:
You want: “The Devil’s in the Phone Booth Dialing 911″
Search: “phone booth”

Phone Booth” is a good choice because it’s a unique phrase that’s not found in many titles
Not “Devil’s”, because it could have been originally call “Devil Is” or mistyped “Devils” (yes we, and studios, make typographical errors)
Not “Dialing” because some artists (groups) shorten those sorts of words to “Dialin’” or “Dialin”

As always, email or call if you can’t figure it out. We are here to help you find great music.

Are you interested in new worship music and/or instrumental piano praise?

Brenda, It’s unclear whether you’re asking about Accompaniment Tracks or Christian Music. I’ll answer for Christian Music. We are interested in providing Christian music that speaks truth, is glorifying to God and people are desiring to purchase.

That said, if you’re looking specifically for the sub-genre of Modern Worship, you’ll find 251 titles there.

We actually also have a category for Instrumental Piano. You can browse these titles by clicking “view all categories” from the Christian Music homepage. There you’ll see the complete listing where you can click “Instrumental Piano.” I personally adore these titles as well as others like it in the categories of Classical, Easy Listening, Hymns, Instrumental & Inspirational.

It’s so nice to be able to preview every song on any of these albums before you buy it. Sometimes I get lost browsing around just listening to music. It’s a great way to uplift the countenance and worship at the same time.

I hope that’s answered your question. If we can help further, please let us know. Have a great day in the Lord.

I would like to find accompanient music for the song titled “The Master Locksmith”. It is written by Lee Roy Abernathy. The song goes back a
few years. I believe Rusty Goodman used to sing it.
Thanks, David

I have searched our system and I am unable to locate an accompaniment track for this song.

Sorry we are unable to help you with this item
